Gary, like many, was turned on to the Blues drenched rockers of the “British Invasion” and their American counterparts in his youth; the Blues-influenced folk rock in his college and “hippy” years; and the Blues-infused contemporary jazz in young adulthood. Research in to the influences and origins of the music led him to a deep and abiding love of the Blues, from the electric Blues Greats of Chicago to a trip down the Mississippi River to the acoustic Blues Masters of the Delta and Deep South, and back up to contemporary Blues artists from throughout America and the world.
